Bulk Mango Powder Supplier — Freeze-Dried Whole-Fruit (Ripe Mango, Mangifera indica) & Spray-Dried Juice, USDA & EU Organic Available, B2B Wholesale
Valeherb supplies mango powder (also called mango fruit powder, Mangifera indica) in bulk wholesale, made from 100% real ripe sweet mango — the golden tropical fruit, not the sour green-mango spice (amchur). Two grades are available: a freeze-dried whole-fruit powder (Organic available) and a spray-dried juice powder with maltodextrin. Below: a quick-spec panel, the two grades side by side, the sweet-mango vs amchur disambiguation, and full sourcing criteria.
Our Two Grades
The drying method is the main decision. It changes the colour, how much flavour and vitamin C survive, the texture, how it dissolves, and the label. Both grades start from real ripe mango. Only the freeze-dried grade is available organic.
| Freeze-Dried Whole-Fruit Powder | Spray-Dried Juice Powder | |
|---|---|---|
| Made from | Whole ripe mango pulp | Mango juice / puree |
| Carrier | None — 100% fruit | Contains maltodextrin carrier |
| Mesh options | Fine (powder) or coarse (visible fruit pieces) | Fine, free-flowing |
| Colour & flavour | Deepest golden colour and fullest sweet, aromatic flavour | Golden; milder, a bit paler |
| Vitamin C & carotenoids | Highest retention — closest to fresh fruit on a dry-matter basis | Held with the carrier; vitamin C lower than freeze-dried |
| Solubility | Disperses in water; some natural fruit fibre | Dissolves clear and fast; made for drinks |
| Organic | USDA NOP & EU Organic available | Conventional only |
| Single-ingredient label | Yes — 100% mango | No — maltodextrin is declared |
Sweet Mango Powder vs Amchur: Which One?
“Mango powder” means two very different things, so this is the first thing to get right.
- Sweet mango fruit powder (Mangifera indica). The ripe, golden fruit, dried and milled. This is what we sell — sweet, aromatic, golden. “Mango fruit powder,” “mango juice powder,” and “mango powder” used for a sweet ingredient mean this.
- Amchur / amchoor is a different product. It is dried unripe green mango, ground into a tan, sour powder used as a souring agent in Indian cooking. It is not sweet and not golden. If you searched “mango powder” for cooking, for amchur, or for a substitute, that is amchur — a different product from ours.
- Mango seed / kernel powder is different. It is made from the seed, not the flesh, and is used in cosmetics and traditional products. We sell the fruit pulp.
- Mango leaf powder is a different plant part. Mango leaf and its mangiferin are used in supplements, not as a fruit powder.
- Not a flavoured protein powder or a chili-mango snack mix. Ours is plain mango fruit, nothing added.
Drying Method & Nutrient Retention
For a fruit powder, the drying method — not a standardized assay — is what most affects quality, so it is worth specifying on purpose. The golden colour comes from carotenoids, mainly β-carotene,[1] and mango is naturally rich in vitamin C; both carotenoids and vitamin C are sensitive to heat and light, and drying lowers them, with high-heat methods losing the most.[2] Our freeze-dried grade dries the whole fruit at low temperature with no carrier, keeping the colour, the aroma, and the vitamin C closest to fresh. Mango pulp is high in sugar and sticky, so the spray-dried juice grade uses a maltodextrin carrier to dry into a free-flowing powder. Both grades keep their colour and flavour best stored cool, dark, and dry.
Nutritional Composition (Naturally Occurring)
As a whole-fruit powder, mango powder carries the fruit’s natural parts. Levels move with cultivar, ripeness, season, and drying method, so the list below describes what the fruit naturally contains rather than guaranteed standardized values.
- Natural fruit sugars — mango is naturally sweet, which is part of why the powder is hygroscopic
- Vitamin C — naturally present and best kept in the freeze-dried grade[1]
- Carotenoids — mainly β-carotene (provitamin A), the golden pigment, which also works as a colour contribution[1]
- Dietary fibre and polyphenols — naturally present in the whole fruit[1]

Sourcing & QC Criteria
| Parameter | What to verify | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Form | Ripe sweet fruit / pulp or juice powder — not amchur (green), seed, or leaf powder | These are different products with different taste, use, and price |
| Grade & carrier | Freeze-dried (100% fruit, no carrier) vs spray-dried (maltodextrin declared) | Sets colour, retention, solubility, and label — single-ingredient vs declared carrier |
| Drying method | Freeze-dried vs spray-dried — documented | Directly drives vitamin-C and carotenoid retention, aroma, and final colour |
| Organic certification | USDA NOP and/or EU Organic (EU 2018/848) covering the fruit and the processing facility | Both the source and the processing must be certified for an organic claim |
| Microbiology & heavy metals | TPC, yeast & mould, E. coli, Salmonella; ICP-MS (Pb, As, Cd, Hg) per batch | Core food-grade requirements for a low-process fruit powder |
| Pesticides | Multi-residue screen for conventional grades; organic grades controlled via certification audit | Market-entry requirement for EU / US / Japan |
Regulatory Guidance
- United States: mango is an established food — food use for food applications, and DSHEA for supplements. Organic grades require USDA NOP certification covering the raw fruit and the processing facility. FDA-registered facility (21 CFR Part 111) for supplement supply
- European Union: established food use (not a novel food); organic grades require EU Organic certification (EU 2018/848). For cosmetic use, the INCI sits under Mangifera indica (e.g. Mangifera Indica (Mango) Fruit Extract) — confirm the exact INCI for the form
- China: mango (mángguǒ) is a common, established food; supplied with full export documentation and organic certification where required
